There’s much more to say about growing a newsletter, on Substack or another platform.

TL:DR

To effectively grow your Substack, focus on making your newsletter highly visible by consistently engaging your audience through direct email communication.

You can streamline your content creation process by utilizing AI prompts for generating ideas and outlines, but be sure to infuse your own unique voice and experiences to keep it authentic.

Discover opportunities for content profit by paying close attention to which topics resonate most with your readers in your notes, as these can be repurposed into popular newsletters and valuable paid products like mini-courses.

Ultimately, by prioritizing consistent communication, thoughtfully using AI as a tool, and listening to your audience's preferences, you can build a successful and profitable Substack.

How a Newsletter Builds Visibility

  • You stay top of mind with the people who want to hear from you - it’s a direct one to one form of communication.

  • Consistency creates trust, even if it’s once a month.

  • It gives you an easy excuse to follow up or re-engage with leads.

Visibility = Repetition + Relevance

  • People don’t take action the first time they see your offer.

  • Your newsletter gives you a consistent way to repeat your core message.

  • Over time, people expect to hear from you (that’s a good thing).

  • Relevance: Each issue can speak to what your ideal client is dealing with right now.

Much more to come on this topic as I realize it can be easily expanded into a detailed article.
