Running a solo business is a lot of work. You're the CEO, the marketing team, and everything in between! But getting your business seen by more people doesn't have to be overwhelming.
My goal for 2025 is to keep things simple—at least as much as possible. I tend to overthink and overwrite, so simplicity is my guiding principle for the next year.
Therefore, while I used to say you had to show up everywhere to stay visible, I no longer believe that.
Focus on a couple of platforms where you like spending time and where you know your ideal client spends time, and create for them.
To send off 2024, here’s a roundup of articles that combine to create a simple, five-step plan to help you boost your visibility in the new year.
1. Give Your Old Content a Makeover
You've probably already created a lot of great content for your business, such as blog posts, videos, emails, or social media updates. Instead of starting from scratch, why not repurpose what you already have?
Turn a blog post into a short, engaging video.
Share key points from your content as eye-catching images on social media.
Combine several blog posts into a helpful free guide or checklist.
This saves you time and helps you reach a wider audience!
2. Little by Little, Every Day
Creating new content doesn't have to mean writing a novel every day! Think small and consistent.
Share a quick tip on social media.
Post a behind-the-scenes photo or video of your work.
Answer a common question your clients have.
These small actions, done regularly, can make a big difference.
3. Find the Gems in Your Content
Take some time to look back at all the content you've created. Are there any particularly popular pieces? Did any of them lead to a lot of client inquiries?
Polish up those shining stars! Make sure they're easy to find on your website, and share them again on social media.
Turn them into valuable resources like downloadable guides or checklists. These can help you attract new clients and showcase your expertise.
4. Create a Welcoming Front Door
